Compare fees

Booking fees per ticket — YourTicketHub vs Eventbrite, with the calculation shown

YourTicketHub

$125.00

$0.50 × 250

Eventbrite

$678.75

$2.72 × 250

Difference

$553.75

$2.22 per ticket

Assumptions: booking (platform) fees only, every ticket paid and at the same price, Eventbrite fees passed on per ticket. Card processing is left out on both sides.

How this is calculated
  • YourTicketHub booking fee: $0.50 per paid ticket → $0.50 × 250 tickets = $125.00.
  • Eventbrite service fee: 3.7% of the ticket price + $1.79 per paid ticket → ($25.00 × 3.7% + $1.79) × 250 = $678.75.
  • Not included (applies either way): card processing — Eventbrite 2.9% per order; with YourTicketHub your own Stripe account (2.9% + 30¢ per payment) or Square (2.8% + 30¢). Also not included: sales taxes (GST/HST) on fees where they apply, and any payout or currency-conversion fees.
  • Free tickets: no booking fee on either platform.

Eventbrite figures from eventbrite.ca/organizer/pricing (checked October 2026). Competitor pricing can change.

Questions

Something else? Contact us and we'll get back to you.

What does it cost?+

$0.50 per ticket plus your provider's standard card processing (Stripe 2.9% + 30¢ or Square 2.8% + 30¢). Both are added to the buyer's price, so you keep 100% of your ticket price — work out your own prices with the fee calculator on the Pricing page. GST/HST isn't added at checkout; if your tickets are taxable, include it in your price. No setup or monthly fees. Free events cost nothing.

Are there discounts for non-profits?+

Yes — registered non-profits and charities get discounted pricing. Contact us with your charity or non-profit registration details and we'll set it up. Contact us

How do I get paid?+

Connect your own Stripe or Square account — ticket money goes straight to you on their normal payout schedule. No account? We can collect payments and pay you out after the event.

What can buyers pay with?+

Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), plus Apple Pay and Google Pay on devices that support them. Payment happens on Stripe's or Square's secure page — we never see card numbers.

Can I sell tickets on my own website?+

Yes. Copy a Buy-tickets button, the ticket box, or a list of all your events and paste it into your website (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and others). You can also get a short link like yourname.yourtickethub.ca.

Do my door staff need equipment?+

No. Any smartphone works: staff open the scanner in the browser and add it to their home screen like an app.
